2009

Well another year has rolled around! Time for all those resolutions - I made my list, guess I'll see how it goes halfway through the year. Kids had a great Christmas and probably got way too much stuff. I think the most popular gift was Seth's roller coaster.

Jacob got an HO scale train, which he really loves. In fact, I saw his light on last night at 3 am and he was playing with his train. Of course, I made him get back into bed!

Katelyn does not have any certain thing that she really likes. That always happens with one of them...you think they are going to absolutely love everything...and then surprise! Picture of Katelyn before we went to Grandma and Pappys to open gifts

I got lots of good stuff from Jay- he knows how to spoil!
Jay's sister, Brenda, came into town from Las Vegas for a visit, which was nice. She's great with the kids and they love their Aunt Brenda. But clearly, Seth is her fav :)

Jacob started baseball at his school and really likes it - he's getting ready to start karate again, too. I am trying to get katelyn to start gymnastics, she loves that kind of stuff.

Seth is finally growning up some. He understands what no is and now gets scared when he does not see me (afraid to run away in the stores -- finally!!!)

My favorite time of the year!

Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is fast approaching! I've definitely got most of my shopping done--definitely done with the kids!! Shopping is never a problem for me, I run out of money before I run out of gift ideas. Seth turned 2 last week and we had his party on Saturday, he had a fun time. We rented a bounce house, I think his brother and sister enjoyed it more than him, along with a few others (who were over the age and weight limit!!) He definitely gets ripped off on presents with his birthday being so close to Christmas! Here's a picture of Seth when I woke him up on his bday!

Katelyn has a school program tomorrow am, Jay is going in late so he can see his princess perform, which she LOVES to do!! Jacob does not have a Christmas program, kind of sad to me, I guess that means he is getting older :(

They get out of school on the 19th and don't go back until the 6th!! Long break off, but I know they need it! Katelyn will miss her friends, she really loves school!
I just love this picture that I took of her on Saturday, Jay says she looks too old.

Here is the picture we used for the photo cards for Christmas. It is quite impossible to get 3 kids to look at the camera at the same time, but we were okay with this one.

October going fast!

Well, here it is already more than half way through Oct! I am happy that we've been having some nice weather. The kids are convinced that it is going to start snowing any moment- you know they are from Florida! I think it was about 67 yesterday a.m. they were too funny with long sleeves and boots. We want to take them up north sometime this winter to see what cold and snow really feels like. I don't know if they will be able to handle it :) Thanksgiving is just around the corner, love the holidays. We got another car this past week to help save on gas$$$ Got a nissan Altima, which we really like. We did keep the Yukon. I *think* Seth is starting to calm down a little bit. He seems like he may be growing up just a little bit. His attention span is growing somewhat. We may be able to go to the mall by his 2nd birthday, ha-ha! Katelyn loves school, she's miss. Popular and everyone's friend. Jacob is doing great w/his grades at school. He's lost his excitement for cub scouts and missed a few weeks, he is so hard to keep excited about things! Katelyn loves to tap dance, no problem keeping her excited about that. Monday = do all the laundry day.

almost Friday

Yes, Friday is my Favorite day of the week! Jay takes the kids to school for me and I don't have to work on Friday!!! May go shopping tomorrow. I've been listing stuff on ebay today, i hate doing that, but make pretty good money from it. Seth had to go to the pedi today. She put him on some abx because he has a sinus infection, 2 weeks (diarrhea!!) He also got a flu shot. We shall see if that does any good. The flu spreads like wildfire with 3 kids in the house. It's been so hot, I cannot wait for a little bit cooler weather. high 60's is perfect for me, need a sweater, but that's my fav.

Took some cute pics of the kids outside the other night. Katelyn was so excited because she finally learned how to swing herself at school on Tuesday! She thinks she's ready to take on the world now!!

Here is one of Jacob next to his Lima sprout, he is so proud of this thing. I think we will let him do a garden in the spring.

Here are a few pictures of Seth exploring. He loves to get into the bushes, rocks and whatever else he should not!

Mid September already?

This month is halfway through?? I can't believe this year is getting close to being over. Wow, either age is getting to me or the kids really make things whiz by!! The school year is going perfect; already a month into school. Jacob loves all the activities at the school. Katelyn definitely looks forward to school, too. She sometimes gets upset on the weekend when there is no school. Tonight is dance class for Kate and cub scouts for Jacob, they prefer daddy to take them for some reason, but I don't mind! I just stay at home with the boss.

I have been helping plan a family reunion to Hatteras Island, NC. Seems like a really nice place. Were getting a 4.000 sf beach house for a week, I am very excited about this. I think this will be our next vacation. I just can't see traveling with Seth right now, too much work!! He should be much more manageable by June!! (We are really hoping he is!) I've been Housebound with this child for almost two years. He is my daily challenge!!

Got to start dinner. Hungry kids=grumpy kids!

Finally Friday!

I am always so happy when Friday finally rolls around! Getting the kids ready for school all week and driving to the school 3x is tiring, especially this week since everyone has had colds (Thanks lil' Hailey for passing it along :>) Katelyn's teacher told me she absolutely loves having Kate in her class and she is such a sweetheart, which I already knew ** Jacob has not had any complaints, he just decided he did not want to take karate, which was fine with us. He enjoys his cub scouts, we have a scout picnic at Hillsborough State park tomorrow. I can see how much fun Seth is going to be chasing him all around there, but we gotta go!

I have been busy with my new account from Metlife, I love the work, it's easy $$money$$. Things are slow at work for Jay right now, we get happy when it rains b/c that means he will have more work, bad of us??

I guess there are a few more hurricanes forming. Glad we have a generator, can't live without A/C (or my computer!!)

Everyone has a cold, and Seth is just miserable from his. I sure hope it ends FAST.

I am ready for the weekend!!!

NO CRYING TODAY!!

I have anxiously been awaiting to hear the words "no crying today"!! Only took Katelyn 4 days. I am so proud of her. She did cry at home this morning, but when we got in her class, she did not latch onto my leg and scream today. She walked to her chair, sat down and was asking me to stay in the class. She got busy with her play dough and did wonderful. I got a call from the school about Jacob--guess he did not enjoy their music for chapel; drums and electric guitar. I will have to work with him on this. He dislikes loud noise very much!! So, I think it has been a pretty successful first week of school even having a day off from the hurricane. Looking forward to week #2.
